colorchange opinion

So i bought my bike, an 01 f4i and learned how to ride on it. along the way, like with any first bike, ive dropped it/gotten in an accident, and the fairings are kinds chunked.

bike1

i was thinking about pulling all the stickers off (they came on the bike, sanding it down, and gluen the cracks, and then repainting her till i can save up the money for repsol fairings.

i was thinking flat black/black chalkboard paint

any thoughts or suggestions?

the brightest pink you can find, with a little blue trim, then voila it's a new bike.

Dude you tricked us! When you said colorchange, I'm thinking that Chameleon scheme that changes colors at different angles... that would be pimp. Or maybe overkill, one of the two.

Basically it boils down to traditional or original. You might want to see about getting some new, unpainted fairings to experiment with - or is that what you had in mind, getting pre-painted repsol replicas? Good luck.

if i was gonna do that, id have to stretch the swing arm and put chrome rims on it.

as far as the fairings go, ive always liked the look of the repsol 1000rr, and the repsol fairings on an f4i dont look too bad.

as far as the flat black goes, i was thinking maybe chalkboard paint, for ease of cleaning, and the ability to change up the look whenever i got bored.

the main issue im running into is finding blank fairings, all im finding are all the knockoff chinese fairings that are either -awful ugly 2-tone flames, or one of the diferent liveries that use honda bikes.

if you could direct me to just a blank set of fairings, id happily spray it myself.

as far as keeping it stock, if i did that id probably drop the red/white, and go with red/black, or the black and yellow. i like the look of both of those, im just not a fan of white.

I think it looks great as is, just add a big sprocket, handbrake and round bar and your good to go!

thats actually an older picture of the bike, taken the day after i got in the wreck on 45. ive since replaced the levers, pegs, sprockets and chain (-1 -1 520 xw), and put new sliders on it. the only plastics that are really cracked are the side facing the picture, and the front on one of the air ducts.

im definitely getting rid of most of the stickers though, the only one i put on it was the k&n sticker, the rest came on it

thanks to all of you for the opinions and advice though. i appreciate it

ive actually been considering this, is it safe to ride it around without plastics? or can it be likened to driving a car with the hood missing
