They have conveniently left out the '07/'08 and '09/'11 GSXR1000s. Good deal...

All Suzuki dealerships.

For those that received a letter, it would be nice of you to scan it and post the scan for your bretheren on MH who may be second, third, etc owners who would not otherwise receive the letter.

For the people who replaced them already contact Suzuki NA and see what they can do. In the automotive world the manufacturers cut you a check providing that you can provide a receipt for the repair you paid out of pocket for.

It'll be pretty hard for them to mess up a rectifier install. It's a relatively simple process. Although, I wouldn't put it past some people to botch it

Sounds like a short either in the bulb or the switch.
Try replacing the bulb and see what happens.

For the people who replaced already.
"Reimbursement is limited to Suzuki's MSRP for parts and the published flat rate time for labor.
To be eligible for reimbursement you must supply documentation which contains the cost of parts and labor for the previous repair, such as copies of repair orders or parts receipts.
Repairs made more than 10 days after the date of the notification letter will not be eligible for reimbursement."

It turned out that my bike (09 750)was one of those that were affected with this problem. I took my bike to Motorcycles Unlimited and had it repaired in early February. Cost of repair was a little more than $700. When picking up the bike from Motorcycles Unlimited, Patrick said that a few bikes with the same problem have already been in the shop shortly after the repair on mine. I just received this letter a few days ago, the letter mentions reimbursement by Suzuki, I'm giving them a call today and hopefully I can get a few pennies out of them. Anyways, still excited with the quality work at Motorcycles Unlimited!

Also you get see a copy of the letter online at http://www.suzukicycles.com/~/media/...tLetterMC.ashx
