06 fz6 trade for 07 sv650

So i was offered a trade today from an old friend, his is an 07, less miles, about 3k less. Is it something i should consider? i have 16k miles on mine, it's an 06, and i ride two up alot. I know alot of you guys like the sv, but lookin at it from a point of view for how i use it, i don't think loosing 20HP would be in my best interest, im pretty sure im gonna say no, just wasn't sure if the sv650 had something magical i don't know about so lemmy know

It is a twin . I was following a couple people today through the forest that were on a 500 twin. Not saying they were breaking speed limits but a 650 should be fine for two. Ultimately your choice.

i just depends on what type of riding you do, vtwin will always be more fun if you are into turns, the fz wont be able to keep up in the twisties given you have an experienced rider on top.

Sv is a vtwin, it has nothing on top, all the power comes in way below 10k! I ride a 1098 and a s1000rr, for the twisties, the 1098 (vtwin) is a lot quicker throught the turns than the inline 4s.

no i was saying the fz6 needs to stay in the high rpms as everything on THAT bike comes AFTER about 9k, but if you wanna hit the twisties in 2nd or 3rd gear in the 9k range, no reason it can't take an sv650. IMO anyways. i told the guy no though anyways, so thanks for all the feedback guys
