Oh, I remember reading some boasting when the new r6 came out about how it redlined so fast it actually traveled back in time. I think they were just exaggerating.

R6 was first 600 to break 170 mph. One thing they never fixed was the yama tick, all yami does it.

The r6 WAS the first 600 to break the 10 second quarter and it was stock with just straps. I think the guy that did it was asked to show an NHRA racing license by the track management because anything into the 9's requires a licensed rider.

I think it was Ricky Gadsen.

Not a fan of Yamahas since my 1st bike, an r6, was a lemon but sure as beats having a gixxer.

Would/could you ride your r6 from here to Austin? The biggest thing that keeps me off the r6 lovers club (cause truth is, i really want to like it more b/c it's sexy and the sound... Omg.. ) anyway, what keeps me off a r6 is that's the ergos are pitched too far forward for long rides, which I still enjoy.... In the past when I've bought stuff on "cool factor" over comfort or function, I've regretted it..

But they are cool.. So are 600rr though

I hope baditalian doesn't read this haha, he's heard me ramble about this far too much
