Ahhh... for once a guy on a pokey, lowly ol' Katana gets to laugh back. I gots a fuel gauge.

Ha-ha.

Oh, and a centerstand. No idea what kind of mileage I get. Reserve tank's good for just over 20 miles. I've never set the individual trip meter. I know a full tank's good for about 2 days - prob about 120 miles, always hauling and a longstanding need for a tune.

I'm tempted to just ride with a small bottle of gas one day though just to know for sure how much is in my reserve.

My Fz6 used to go about 40 miles before it ran out once the low fuel light came on I only ran it out once and it ran out on my work parking lot so I just asked a coworker to go get me some gas then gave him some cash and let him take a joyride to the gas station to top it off lol. My 900rr didnt have a low fuel light or gas guage just flip the reserve when it started sputtering, now it would typicaly go 40miles before it ran out also but one time I flipped the reserve and it died about 1/4 mile later on 290 I was . Now my buddys old truimph tt600 was retarded the low fuel light would come on and it would instantly shut off the speedo was alittle retarded also we would be riding doing 60 and it would be registering 160 or some other ramdom speeds he was happy to get rid of that bike lol!!!!

anywhere from 90 - 115 miles that yellow light starts flashing. "FUEL"
I've gotten over 25 miles on the light before, luckily!!
(a little less than gallon of gas for reserve, 4.5 gl tank)

but, I let my son ride the bike,
he brought it back and said, "the light just came on, you have enough to make it home , NO Problem"

I jumped on, hit the tollway with my usual "wheelie" frkn ran out of gas with the front wheel in the air, wham, came down so hard I smashed my cellphone,(#6) when it came down it got a little more gas and started again, so I gassed it until it ran out. I was able to coast quite a ways down the tollway and off to the gas station parking lot. perfect
