Guy went down on 149 today

A guy that owned a chrome yellow zx10 low sided in the first turn on 149 then highsided once he slid off the top of the crown of the banked turn he slid through the ditch and the bike did a few somersaults through the air hit a couple trees and got totaled he hurt hit leg he said it was broke but not sure though. Thank he had all his gear on. im sure the cops will be all over this road for the next couple weeks now.

Sounds like a buddy of mine on his GSXR. Twice in about 2 months.

Was this guy experienced, or one that should have started on something smaller?

i was right behind him and i dont think it would have mattered what size it would have been . he was trying to keep up with the pack he tried to pass in a blind banked left turn in oncomming traffic. He seemed very inexpirienced it was his first bike to my understanding. one he should have started on a smaller bike 2 he did not follow his own skill level.

so let me see if I got this..

newb
inexperienced
over his head
off camber, on-coming lane in a blind curve he had probably never seen before?

man. I feel for the boy and his now wrecked bike.

But whomever invited him should have tried to impress him to follow along, at his own pace.. but it is also his 2nd time, so he may not have listened...
