New to Houston and Bikes

Hey guys, thanks for the great forum!

I just moved to Houston from Arizona and wanted to introduce myself. Once in Tx, I immediately bought myself an 05 sv650 (I'm currently looking for a brake lever and either a sv650s right side mirror or right side mirror input for a regular 650) My end goal with the bike is to be taking it to track days so I was very pumped to see how track oriented this forum is.

Back home I'd take my turbo miata to the local track, and on the track we weren't using, the bikes would be running. The first time I went to watch the bikes between the "cager" sessions was an impression maker! Almost immediately a rider high sided and I thought to myself "this is the real deal huh". Seeing how fluid the riders were, coupled with the risk they faced, I knew it would be a challenge I'd be enjoying soon.

Again, I appreciate the resource you guys provide with the forum.

I'm in the Sugarland area. I'm currently looking for a good ride around that area (half day at work).

Let me know your suggestions...

Patrick, about the right side mirror. The bike is an sv650, however the grip that the mirror screws into is an sv650s grip which doesn't have the input available for a side mirror. So I either new a new grip (if thats the right term) and I can use the sv650 mirror that came extra with the bike, or I need an sv650s mirror. Does that make sense?
