picked me up a new lil project!

i've always wanted an sv, since all i've heard is great things abt them, and i have passed up on a couple good deals, but i wasn't gonna let another one slip away!

picked this baby up for a great price imo, and i'm gonna ride the outta her! There's a few lil flaws here and there, but i think she's a beauty, and i'll have her up and running in no time!!

Well if you want more normal N bars instead of those... I wouldnt mind taking those off your hands!

Nice bike though, sv's are pretty fun bikes when you get down to it.

No, they are looking like suburban machinery bars. type 1 from the picture.

the ones you have place the bars closer to a clip on position.

Hence the reason I mentioned I would totally swap bars with you LOL!!

these are the stock bars, they have a bit more rise. ignore the bar risers though...ugh..

that thing looks sick! well, i have a complete front end from a 05 gsxr 750, but i think it only swaps with a 2nd gen, not a 1st like mine. i'm still trying to learn abt these awesome bikes...

I have an aluminum LSL superbike bend bar that you can have super cheap.

I had it for years and it's already drilled for SV

SVrider.com

You can mount the GSXR forks just takes a little modding.

so here's all i've done so far...

1. replace torn driver seat
2. replace bad starter relay
3. replace both front calipers (old ones were stuck)
4. replace headlight bulb
5. ordered bar end mirrors
6. got a complete speedo/tach cluster with only 2700 miles (it's unbeleivable how hard it is to find these, and if you do, they are EXPENSIVE!)

all i have left to do now is get the carbs cleaned up, and she'll be perfect! she drives good now, but her idle is a lil whack, and her rpms stay high...

its amazing the difference the bar end mirrors make. you will now be able to *gasp* see behind you

sounds like you are on your way to having a really nice sv. pics when you get round 1 finished
also there is an idle adjuster on the left side. try playing with that
