bingo, i am sure had you taken it to patrick he would have checked the bike out for free, no warranty=no leg to stand on. Its used it wont be perfect. Brand new bikes can roll off the showroom and have something go wrong

wow

there is no way in the world i would put forth anything to the buyer if i was 100% honest with the sale(which i always am) and believe this guy was as well.
100% Agree, unreal to believe the previous owner is liable in anyway

Bike(s):
lots of bikes from 80cc to 1200cc
Current : ZX11
KX80

Every used bike I have bought I always assume that it will take about 1 month and $ smount to get it to run right. The ONLY change to this rule is if I buy new. I also usually ask the seller to ride it to a meeting spot. That way I know its fully ridable for the way home

Lots of thing could have been done diff. Chalk this up to life, move on and get the bike fixed and enjoy it.

Or If you want I will give $1K cash money today for it

So the diagnosis was that the oil and coolant were mixing causing the bike to overheat. Once it reaches a higher operating temp it seems it has some kind of sensor to keep you from overheating it so it won’t start again. When I saw the bike the first time it had fresh oil and after the two times I rode it the oil was coolant colored. So this guy changed the oil before he sold the bike to hide that . I sold the bike for $3,400 to someone this morning who I told everything about the bike but the conclusion is I got scammed by sum douchebag that is gonna regret the day our paths cross again ...on an upside the guys at PNP cycles were very helpful and honest in helping me out and I will definitely be going back to them.

The oil coolant separator most went out on a serious note it was probably a blown head gasket that could of been fixed with <$100 and a tech manual. Sorry this happened to you but I wouldn't say the previous owner is at fault in anyway. Like someone said above u gotta know what ur looking at before u throw down the cash or pay the consequences. I bet if u would of test rode it then looked or smelled the oil u could of seen it before u bought it....
