Any good trails on the south side?

Picked up a WR450 in December to motard, but thinking about just leaving it the way it is for the dirt unless I find a good deal on a motard setup for it. Always hear about people going to SHNF to ride but was wondering if there's any nice places closer to the south side. Now that the weather is getting nice I want to ride more but hate driving so far to the north side.

Other than running some of the high tension power line right-of-ways (which is illegal) or hitting a MX track, I'm not aware of any. Pelican Island used to be good close by place; but, it was shutdown over a year ago and posted with signs saying you'll be arrested for trespassing. If you do find any, please share.

Werd, lol the best ride I've done so far was from 288/hwy6 to sugarland on Hwy6. Little bit of on and off road. The south has nothing but tracks and I'm not sure how the WR would handle on a track.

There is a place out on the east side by Baytown I've been checking out as I drive by. I haven't actually made it there with a dirt bike yet so I'm not sure what the trails are like. Always see several trucks parked and occasionally some quads running around. Off of Hwy146 Business, there is a road that used to be call Hwy 55 but is now 99 (Grand Parkway). If you cross over the Fred Hartman bridge going north, stay to the right and follow 146 Business until you come to a stop sign. Turn right (actually turn just before stop sign) onto 99. About 3/4 to 1 mile down, there is a bridge over Cedar Bayou. I've seen people parked on either side off the road just before the bridge and riding. Again, I haven't been out there and not sure what kind of trails are there. Thinking about checking it out in a couple of weekends. The area is just south of Roseland Park on the image below.

Just wear your fedex badge, and if you get stopped, say you were looking for an address before you brought your truck out.

Hahaha I do that stuff all the time, got some truck magnets from work, stick them to the doors and you can park where ever you want.
