Just saying hi

I've been looking around the site and even bought my first bike off here about 9 months ago. I've been addicted ever since the ride home. Finally decided to create an account on here and say hi.

Bought a yzf-600r to get started and have loved every minute of it. After about 10k miles I started wondering what a 1000 would be like and have always loved the CBRs so I decided to cave and buy one. Finally found a good enough deal on one I liked and picked it up on Saturday.

I live out in Cypress if anyone wants to meet up for a ride. I plan on going to NewRider's (i think) NW meet and greet here soon. Look forward to meeting and hopefully riding with some of you.

Welcome! IMO the liter bike might be a tad to much for a "new rider" I mean no disresoect just dont want to see ANYONE hurt out there. Keep the rubber side down brother

Thanks for the welcomes!

Longdraw, cool hope to see you at a meet soon.

Soclose, hmm not exactly but doesn't sound like you're far. I'm at Spring Cypress/Telge area.

Forgottn, none taken! I think I might have to agree with you, but I wanted to get a newer, less beat up bike than the beater cash bike I bought to learn on and didn't want to buy a nicer 6 and then trade up again to a liter anytime soon after that. If I had lots of spare cash that would have been the way to go though. This one will hopefully give me years and years of fun.

I bet, mine came with about a 7k head start but not bad for an 08 I guess. Other than the last part of the 300 mile ride home I've enjoyed every mile so far. My back wasn't happy
