Aaron this is a really cool idea here! Good Job...

I have been thinking if an idea I had would work, but was hesitant... This thread shows me that I'm not alone. Thank you and thank you for putting your money where your mouth is.

My idea was for us to have a thread/fund or something similar, where each and every mh member can go in and donate whatever money they want. That money would go towards the purchase of a full or half trackday for a new person(depending on how much money was put in that month). The selection of a person could be at random or on a vote...I'm still kicking the idea around and tweeking it.

Good or bad?

Probably wouldn't work. Asking people to donate money for no reason other than to give it to someone else without getting anything in return usually doesn't work.

I know this won't make everyone wear their gear everytime they go out. , it likely won't change anything. But there's someone somewhere that wears their gear everytime they hit the road. If I see them, They'll be rewarded. Especially if they're new to riding.

How bout if I just let you kick me in the nuts now for a free TD

On a serious note, that's an awesome way to encourage safe riding, keep up the good work! You should have seene last summer, I had to carry extra shirts cuz they'd be sweat soaked when I went anywhere

I just figured with all the "Track Day" people always pushing it and coming in on their high horse about it, might wanna put their money where their mouth is. The satisfaction would be, helping a fellow rider become better and thus making him safer out on the streets.

Or if someone wants to flame on a rider down thread or no gear thread or something like that... $5 fee and you will not get infraction or static

I dunno, just trying to promote track a little more myself too..but I know a lot of people need extra push or help...

I keep extra shirts/pants/etc at work for that very reason. It gets hot. I sweat. A LOT.

The truth is riding track isn't THAT expensive. It's usually the proper gear that is. I've got a lot of money in riding gear and I'm only getting more.

You figure if a TD costs you $130. With fuel, water, food you're maybe at $160-$175.

People spend more than that eating out a month.

If someone on a bike sees some crazy dude attempting to flag them down, they might be tempted to WOT and attempt to escape.

We all got to hit a light sometime.

If they don't want to talk then it's no bother.

So, what part of town do you live in and what are the hours that you are usually on the road?

What kinda car do you drive?

If you don't see a blue SBN sticker and a Fastline MCS sticker on the back window don't go running down cars. LOL.

I thought your job was near your place. They make you go to other locations sometimes?
