I finally gave in

Sorry guys, always been a Yamaha fan at heart.

180571 1644181634784 1544160014 31628945 6945743 n

As of right now, not too sure of what I'm going to do. Well first thing is I'm going to take off those uglyass flames. I'm not too sure whether or not I want to convert this to a full track bike or not because the ride home was a BLAST. My choice is either sell the gsxr and street/track the R6 or keep the gsxr for street and R6 for track only. What do you guys think? Is it pain to swap track plastics on the R6?

But yeah, whoo whoo Sherman. Keep an eye out for me on the track :look: Yellow is for Asian.

I'd personally use the R6 for the track. Whatever is more comfortable for you is the one I'd keep for street use. You won't have a problem finding parts for either at the track should the need arise though.

I personally love the color with flames. Having owed both, the r6 is the better bike, imo. Keep the gxsr track. And on occasion use the r6 at the track. Its just petty.

Track the R6. It's really the only place that you can let that motor really sing like it wants too. The R6 engine IMO was never a good engine for the street.

Get rid of those ugly flames asap. And track the gsxr. Street the r6 and track it occasionally.

Yeah, I'd love to have a dedicated track bike, but still contemplating.

Thanks Patrick! I was going to bring the bike by but the owner said it was too far. I'll try to bring it by for a checkup and maybe a suspension tune.

For sure I'm going to take the R6 on track. I'd be devastated if I went down with the street plastics on though.

Track skins are cheap enough. Put the street skins in a box and save them.

Wow, Milo the baller. With no doubt the 08 R6 is the best R6 out there. It has some extra ponies from the 09 model. That being said, that bike rides pretty different from your gixxer.

I'd suggest that before you decide what to do, do 1 or 2 TDs in where you have both bikes and you switch them every session. That will make you feel the differences and make your decision easier.

Good luck in whatever you decide to do.

Hahah nooo... ballin in debt right now, I just couldn't resist.

Yeah that's a good idea, I'll probably taking it easy on the R6 for a while till I get used to it again.

I'd say R6 for the track for sure. The power delivery just seems to be more terack focused than any other street bike I've ridden. I couldn't even really have fun on an R6 (that model) on the street without really wringing it's neck. I rode an '06 GSX-R600 for a while on the street and it was much better there.
