As a more experienced rider I should know the rules of group riding like the back of my hand. If I got it in my head to do something I have no business doing or do something with a questionable amount of safety to other riders and my actions cause another rider to go down. Yes, as a decent person, I feel that I am responsible. And I would HOPE that in a reversed situation the other guy would feel the same.
You and I both. If I come into a turn real hot and wipe someones nose in a no passing zone and wreck, causing the other person to go down along with me, I'd sure as hold myself responsible whether contact was made or not. Then again, I'm smart enough to know better in the first place.

Deadfred, why on EARTH did you not call the cops right then and there?!?!?!

I would be that's a result of the accident.

Good call. I thought I would ease tension.

A lot of people on Kawiforums are having great experiences with Delkevic fairings as well. Cheap too as the unpainted set for my bike is $331 shipped. the 2005 R6 is slightly more expensive at $489 though. . . . http://www.delkevic.us/?section=shop...erm=&order_by=

WTF?!?!?! Was everyone there riding dirty? I'd never have a problem with cops being called. I have ALL of my paperwork in order though. Maybe some didn't.

Sounds like there may have been more than one rider out there that wasn't fully legit.

I think at this point, the OP is trying to find out who this douchebag was and also some parts to repair his bike. Let's PLEASE keep it to that.

Like I said earlier. I'd call and make a report. Maybe they can give u an option that we can't. A phone call is free. Maybe something good will come from it.

Tomorrow go to a police sub- station and fill out a hit and run incident report. Take the picture of the license plate and the cops will find him. At least they will be looking out for the bike. It may have been a stolen bike, if so, I'm sure the owner would like to know its going on routes.

That!

And if people don't want the cops called on a ride, tell them to break out. They've obviously got something to hide.

This is sound advice. You have to take care of you. There is no harm in standing your ground and calling the cops. If the rest of your group didn't want to then perhaps you should also be questioning the integrity of the company you keep on the rides.
