That's awful man. I hope your friend recovers well.

Guys, don't turn this into a hate thread.
Let's keep it focused on the injured rider and his recovery.

poor guy, that sounds like some serious pain, all because of some who didn't even have the decency to stick around and see if he was alive. My prayers for a speedy recovery. Hope it doesn't spook him out of riding too.

Eddie survived the night. The pain is unbearable for him so they are keeping him sedated. The doctor says the worst is yet to come. They are really concerned about his lungs because of the damage that was done and the possibility of pneumonia. With all of those broken ribs, I can't imagine what it will be like to cough. They put a pin in his leg so that they could put his pelvis in traction. I should get another update later tonight.

I don't believe the cops have located the driver who hit him. I don't know the extent of the damage to his Harley or where it was taken. At 53 yrs. old, I don't know if he survives this ordeal, that he will be able to continue doing the same type of work. His future is pretty uncertain for now.

Thanks for all the kind words.

Actually I am familiar with the area the rider went down in and wanted to pair the damage to the gear he wore. But GG on trying to twist my intention to learn into an intention to bash.

Gear wasn't the issue. Happened at the intersection. Car was turning left from the left lane, rider was turning left from the center lane which is allowed. The car took the turn wide and came into the rider's lane hitting the bike.
