Go to the one on Ingersoll, not the one in the Galleria. When I lost 50 lbs, I had mine altered there and he did a good job.

Go to Marcellos, excellent work! They are very discreet about the leather stuff you bring in and don't make you feel like your some kinky freak just because you bring in bondage

My .2c - I'm making the assumption that you're talking about motorcycle leathers. If they're intended to provide you with protection in a crash, don't take them to a "fashion leather" reapir place. The quality of the stitching and the type of thread used is a VERY important part of the level of protection that your leathers will give you in a crash. The leather doesn't do much for you if the seams blow out and they open up in a crash.

We used to use Barnacle Bill a lot in the Southeast for leather repairs. He did a LOT of work for WERA guys. Not sure who fixes the race leathers around here, but I'd wait until some of the CMRA racers chime in on this and go with their recommendations.

Alternations

There is a little shop on Richmond near the Kirby intersection in one of those little houses used for commerical purposes. I think it could be next to one of those massage parlors or a few doors down. He is unbelievable inexpensive and does great work. Can't remember the name, but it is a house on the left if heading toward downtown. He has been there for 20 years and very familar with motorcycle leathers.

Purchased some real nice European used leathers off BMW site and pants needed taken in. Fit perfect.

Haha.... NO! I wear all my crashes with pride. Alterations are for my new leathers.

Like was said, Marcellos is who you're thinking of near the galleria. Unlike what cch offered, they're not a fashion style leather shop and will do what you're after with high quality stuff. No offense, dude, I know what you meant but they aren't that.
