When passing a bunch of Harleys....

And they simultaneously lift their left arm and hold a finger up, what is that?

I couldn't tell if they were showing one or flipping me off?

I think they were telling U that U were #1, or maybe they all needed to pee at the same time, or mybe they thought U needed to pee bad is why U were passing

I was hoping that is what it was as opposed to flipping me off...

I gave the leader a little "tip of the hat" as I went by....

Hope they didn't try to go single, I was by in a second, just needed
enough of a clearing in traffic with out a curve.

(I was kinda hoping they were telling me I was #1, I felt like a weiner...)

Believe it or not but most "BIKERS" on "HARLEYS" are courteous and safe while riding

You don't have to put Harleys in quotes. We've accepted them as real bikes.

I've noticed the Harley riders on my side of town refuse to wave back. On the west side or the north side, sure, but not in Pasadena, I usually just get the hard stare.

That's because they are 1%'ers, or at least they like to think they are...
real badasses don't wave to each other, they have a cold steel glare and the first one to blink is a .

I read an article a year or so ago and the guy was saying he went from Daytona bike week to the Honda hoot in a pretty short time period. The thing he noticed and was shocked by was which group was the worst about wearing gear.
Of course the Harley guys all had bandanas and no helmets but, at least, they were wearing leather chaps, gloves and jackets.
The touring guys had their open face helmets but most were wearing kahki shorts, loafers with no socks, no gloves and no jackets.
The bikers we often accuse of not wearing gear were actually better prepared than the touring folks.

I put them in quotes because most of the time when people say "Bikers" on "Harleys" they actually have no idea that its not a "Harley".
People see a cruiser type bike and say, "Oh look at that Harley." when in reality its a suzuki or honda etc.
Thats why most of the time Harleys get a bad name due to people thinking every cruiser on the road is a Harley when they are not. Thats just like some dumba$$ saying, "look at the Gixxer!" when its really a Kawasaki or Honda etc.

I've run up on that before.

The non-waving or whatever doesn't bother me. But if you're not going to do the speed limit and you're also going to hold up the entire road thinking you're better than everyone else on the road then you. That's the kind of stuff that gets under my skin.

Or if they're going 55mph down the belt and you go by a 70-75mph they'll come roaring by you like they just showed you what's up.
