Rico-New Found Friend

I've always been scared of bikes. Never would I have ridden, but my homeboys got there bikes and well that was that. My Father in law had this GS500 that was practically new 2001 with 5000 miles, begging for some attention. I watched it sit there in that garage for months. Finally he asked if I could fix some things around the house and I did. Seeing I was good with equipment he asked if I new how to fix bikes. I said no but he asked me to give it a shot so I did. As I tinkered with the bike a bond started to grow. Something about me changed. Finally I got on. Rode down the street and back and then parked it. Knowing the way I drive, noone wanted me on the bike. I found myself making excuses to go to see the bike. I rode when noone knew. It felt like an affair. I rode further and further away. Well... That was fun and all but she still wasnt mine. So Yesterday I decided, we were meant to be. I bought her fair and square and now she's mine. My wife I think is still a bit jealous, but it's complicated So that's my story, first bike!

to get your M class license you have to take a pre-qual test called the Basic Riders Cource from the Motorcycle Safety Foundation before you can ever get a legal motorcycle license.

There's sponsors like Awesome Cycles here that offer the class.
