They gave me a case number and told me to call my insurance company pretty much. And that they marked the plates as stolen. Not sure what else will be done aside from that.

Nothing. They don't really do . They take note of it and if the bike happens to come up during another crime or something... you'll get it back. Glad you were covered.

This is exactly it. They do nothing. Nothing at all.

It'll turn up someday, or it won't. It's one more report for them.

You'd think if that area is getting hit that hard they could run a sting easily enough, but I guess that might be considered actual work so, no interest in doing that...

Sorry about the loss of your bike. I hate thieves.

This is why i refuse to live in another complex while owning a bike (esp a sportbike); they are too easy to steal. All they POS thieves have to do is have a buddy, a truck, and pick them up. A brake lock will not scare them one bit; a chain or 2 might make them think but a few cuts latter (20 seconds) and those things are useless as well.

Sorry to hear this happened to you bro; it happened to me a few years ago in the midtown area.

At least I just got my new registration sticker in. Perfect timing. There's about $40-50 wasted.

If you haven't already, you may want to look into a chain or something to tie it down when you're not on it. With the other guy saying his was stolen last week, it makes you wonder if they're targeting this area for now.

Perhaps. But with my luck I'd likely get pulled over with no insurance or break it.

Full coverage should take care of you.

I know my insurance covers me (and the car I'm in) even if it's not my car/bike.

Why do you think I've always got Todd's and visa-versa? We be covered!
