Metric Motorcycles on W27th in the Heights. Not too far from Spring and worth the trip- in house machine shop.

Rebuilding is expensive but often worth it. Another affordable option is buying used, which is hard to do with that bike and limited production years. Rebuilding gives you peace of mind with knowing what you have.

The place I'd start for used is a salvage yard with a national parts locator, Sam's Cycles (also in the Heights) can help you there. They produce a guarantee for their used engine sales, I have purchased one from them before.

Make sure you exhaust your options with this site's sponsors as well, they're here to help.

I've got an extra 900rr motor in the shop. Swap in your trans (this one slips out of 2nd) and you're good to go. You can have it for $100

It depends though, sometimes he's able to knock things out quickly, but he won't shine you on with a quick turn-around promise unless he knows he can deliver.

Andy recently machined a head and installed some SS valves for me in about a week.

It doesn't hurt that he's in my neck of the woods.
