Im so ****ing off i dont know what to do, im just seeing red.

In the last two or three days cops have been WHORING out my neihborhood, and the ajacent apartments. I was returning from school, and like a ****ing idiot, decided to go through the apartments.
Let me state: I am a responsible driver. Everything I was doing was calm law obbaying movements.
This cop does a U turn and follows me to my house. Im about 2 houses from my driveway, and he puts on his lights and sirens. at this point im like "WHAT IN THE ?!!?!"
He askes me whos car this is, how long ive had it, and all that.
All the time I am being nice to him, but its really all in vain, I know whats about to happen.

He gives me a ticket for no front plate. Of all the ****ing places to get a ticket. And Im pretty sure I heard him state I have a clean record. (which I do)
He then goes on to tell me that for the next 3 months they will be in those apartments and patroling the neihborhood because of a Huge increase in murder, drugs, and rape.
WHAT THE **** DOES MURDER AND RAPE HAVE TO DO WITH MY NOT HAVING A FRONT PLATE????

Im outraged. Im sick of living next to ghetto peice of NOLAs, and at this worthless ticket I got.

I dont give a if "law is the law" no front plate is about as useless as a blind dog. We are letting illegals take my tax money, and i get stiffed for no front plate.

stupid ******** cop:mumum:
I cant wait till I get my new bike. Im going to ride up and down there w/o a helmet, wait for that asshat to pull me over, and then pull out my MSF card and go "nu-uhh ! I can do that!"

He was probably looking for an excuse to pull you over. I'm sure they want to check everyone out.

If he saw you drive through an apartment complex and not stop, then I bet he figured you spotted him and decided to abort your drug deal. haha

why bish about it, you knew you it was law, you got a ticket. i also don't have a ft plate. oh well, it's the risk i/you take.

as for waiting to "show" the cop.......he can still give you a ticket........me i don't have time to waste going to court to get it dismissed.

btw, avoid those apts..........lol

wonder if he's arrested any peeps of a routine traffic stop for no ft plate? i bet he has.

i agree cops are getting overzealous, but if your in a high crime area. i'd want them there.

That's not a cheap ticket, either. It will only cost about $6 to get new plates. i did mine before I had the chance to get pulled over in town. I was pulled over twice by Troopers while on the road out of town. They said that's one of the violations they look out for the most. Luckily, all my other stuff was in order and I got away with just warnings both times. They were just doing their jobs, though.

Here in Arlington, they don't look for other reasons to pull you over other than missing plates if you're missing the front. I got really lucky there as I was missing the front plate on two of my vehicles.

Sorry to hear that, and yes, cops have been checking for the front plate regurarely now. It sucks man. ALso, I might be wrong but just having the MSF card will not exempt you from not wearing a helmet. You have to send the MSF card and copy of your insurance to I think is Austin and they will send you back a sticker. Then you put the sticker on your bike plate. I did that although i always wear a helmet. Maybe the law changed.

you are wrong. the law states "must have proof of having taken the MSF" the cert. he got (that i signed........kekeke) is proof. doesn't mean cop knows the law.

Yea, its not like I would want to actually ride w/o a helmet, but im powerless against them, and just want that litle peice of the pie and say "stick it to the man!"
im just really upset. This is not the thing I need to worry about now that I started school and a new job.

ok, sorry i didn't read the whole thing LOL Is the helmet exemption sticker required before a motorcyclist can ride without a helmet?

No. The sticker indicates that the motorcyclist meets the requirement for riding without a helmet, and law enforcement officers will presume that they do. Without the sticker motorcyclists may be requested to show police officers their proof of course completion or insurance coverage.

Well at least i don't need to carry the proof.

Sorry man. like the boy who cries cause he pulled on the tail of the dog and the dog bit him.

LEO sure does sucks when he is doing his job.
I,m sure you knew better and just hoped the problem would go away.
Thanks. that sucks about them drug dealers and rapes and nolas being the reason the cops were there in the first place.
If it wasnt such a bad place maybe they would have just gave a warning.

Chill, Dude.

Crime rate in Houston is super high right now so the cops are on high alert. Especially near apartment complexes.

A front license plate ticket can be dismissed. If you don't have the front plate either get new plates or take the one off the back and put in on the front. Take a pic of it and take it to court (don't drive your car to the courthouse though because they might come out and look at it).
