I havent taken the MSF class, but plan to. I had a TL1000R for about 6 months when I was in college, but I still consider myself a new rider. I didnt wreck it or drop it(even though it was a heavy beast), but I sold it to buy a car since at the time a new car was more important. Ive still got all my gear from when I had that bike so I wont be a squid and ride in a tshirt and shorts and sandals.

I've done some research and lurking on gixxer.com and found that a lot of the 06 gixxer 600s have tons of problems. Such as o ring leak, sticking throttle, shifting from 1st to 2nd, FI light issues, and something else.

So give me some more in-depth comparisons between 05 r6's and 04-05 gsxr600's. Also comparrisons between 05 R6's and 06 R6's and the same on the GSXR. I have found R6's and GSXR's in the year group im looking at around the same price point so it doesnt matter a bunch. If I am buying a new bike and dont care about the maintenance factor just price, I have found that freedom cycles is around the best prices ive seen. Send me some other place if its cheaperer.
good idea, get something thats different

Wait and buy the 06 leftover with a discount since the 07 is about to be on the floor. Still under warranty. Warranty is important in a used bike. Make sure it has one, could save you a lot of money in the long run. Doesn't matter what 600 you buy, it's all the same.
