Glad you are ok.! Project for the win!

Btw, riding gloves are made for abrasion...not penetration. ( speaking frm experience.) One of the reasons gloves aren't offered in studded palms anymore.

idk. this was a big pothole. i have hit many potholes in my time, but this one just had my name on it, i guess. maybe i hit it at a funky angle or something, but it brought me down.

a local spotted my fall and helped me collect myself. thanks guy
now i cant get the bike to start. the brake side engine cover is a bit scratched up now, but that shouldnt stop it from running, right?
i have to push start it, the button isnt getting it going. mf. this blows
Hey hey hey...quit trying to steal my shine

Kidding kidding....I just recently went down too... My head did hit the pavement...

Good thing it was in the lot and (assuming) low speed... Good to know someone helped, it's always good to have some sort of support after a spill.

my wife eventually came and picked me up. i know it wasnt an easy thing for her to do, as we had our 2 little kids that we had just put to sleep. she left them to come get me. i was suprised. the kids were still asleep when we got home, so yay.

Those kind of wrecks suck. It's not like a tank slapper or running wide on a turn. One second your up and the next your down thinking what the just happened. It's hard to learn from a mistake when you don't even know what happened. LOL. I had my front wash out on me while straight up for no good reason. That shook me up because I started thinking that despite all my practice I have no idea what happened. Made me feel like it was beyond my control which is scary.

Man I am glad you are ok, pot holes are part of the reason I don't ride at night or commute on two wheels. Did you at least report the pot hole so it doesn't happen to others? Get some plastics on eBay and you should be good to go in no time.

I had a friend do that. He fell into a hole that the grate wasn't covering, the gas station paid for his damages

we got the bike home a couple of hours ago. i stripped all of the fairings off earlier.
i have all good left side fairings if you know anyone who needs them. my headlight is good too, but the front fairing is .
the part that connects all of the fairings- an inner lip or whater is also good

im thinking i might save money by finding another front fairing instead of getting into the hard core nudist stuff.
the accessories one of the PO's had put in made for a lot of extra stuff. i just cut it all out. he had added a manual fan switch and heated gips.
i'll miss the heated grips, but as long as i have a bike in the end thats all that matters
