sonofabitch. just went down

i was leaving the parking lot of a gas station and slipped in a pothole just past the lot. i slid downhill maybe 10 feet with the vfr.
i have blood coming from somewhere. not much, i think i got mirror glass in my finger. the fairings are . im fine. i dont think my head even hit.
a local spotted my fall and helped me collect myself. thanks guy
now i cant get the bike to start. the brake side engine cover is a bit scratched up now, but that shouldnt stop it from running, right?
i have to push start it, the button isnt getting it going. mf. this blows

Won't run or won't turn over?
If it won't turn over the cylinders may have filled with gas whiel it was down and it's hydrolocked. You'll need ot pull the plugs and pump it out. Don't try push starting it.
If ot turns over but won't run than it's probably flooded. Try letting it sit a few minutes and then try to start it initially with the thorttle wide open and then after a few revolutions with the throttle slightly open.

the station clerck was chatting me up about riding, she missed her riding days and was talking about how she hated riding in the cold.
