How long did it take you to get tired of the street??

So did you hit a tree?? Cuz that would be harder seeing as trees arent directly on the road, I mean if I was riding on streets with treets on the road, I'd get tired of them quick too.

I've been here long enough to see prob 10 people pass from riding aggressive on the street. You know how many have died at the track in that time? I bet someone can guess.

Do you wreck at the track? Sure. I have, twice. One was in turn one at TWS (Texas World Speedway) coming down off the front straight at 150mph.. What happened then? I stood up, fell over, and stood up again and walked away. Didnt wrap myself around any lightpoles, fences, cars. Now tell me why that was??

Everyone gets way too defensive when the precious street is slandered on here..
I was actually getting ready for my first track day on the 14th (i dunno if now i'll still be able to). Now I gotta figure out how to still keep that.

Since you're a big advocate, do you have a spare track bike I can use? Or maybe since we're n different levels, we can share yours

I mean, you seem very strongly about it, it's worth a shot

can i please add!....

i love riding streets, its not the streets that we have to worrie about or cars and trees or whatever else you thing it may be (road conditions).
ITS ABOUT US!! the rider.. its about how YOU ride!! trying to be fast or pushing more then you should!
i speak for my self.
i used to be all nuts all and trying to go as fast as i could and trying to be in front of everyone but now... now... i just enjoy get together and yes sometimes i like to go fast but thats because i love taking some truns just like most of us here do.

now about track! well.. its more safe, yes! but because is a big open field with out anything else that can get in the way....

so stop comparing track with streets, its not the same... you learn a lot at the track and so you do on the streets.
i learn a lot on the streets because it keeps me active like testing out my REFLEX! LOL...

now can we all just get alone.??

Mark is leverl 3 Jedi Master, he's probably from Coruscant, the nly rider better than him is Emperor Palpatine himself, not Yoda because he prefers alcohol dragsters.

I'll be working grid at Fast Line this Sunday at GSS. All that stuff is just on the surface, just make sure you clean it all really well, and clean the dirt under the throttle tube before it grinds it's way into everything. With a bump from your hip you should be able to get the front end lined up fairly close. If you don't wanna do it, ride it down to GSS Sunday and we can wrench it back to good while you watch the trackday, then do the parade lap

Oh, yeah, you can't take that helmet on the track....

Thanks man, Ima see what I can do in the next few days...

If it's ahassle I might just have to push my TD back... I already took vacation for this day so I might still just go out there.

I might get lucky and a corner work spot opens up and then I get a free track day. *fingers crossed*

I'd like to clear the air a little here... Many of you guys that know me and have ridden with me, know that for the most part I try to be as cautious as a rider as I can be. Me posting this up was a way of sharing in an experience and a way for someone other than me to learn from what I did. I don't mind ball busting and talking. Just when it starts to deviate from the facts and assumptions are used as truths, that's when it just gets a little dumb. I tried my best to explain how it happened. Like I said, my other friends that were riding cleared it with the shinny side up, I was not quick or experienced enough to pull it off. So I fell, it was not serious enough for me or my bike to be out of comission, but it sure was a pucker moment. I was able to laugh about it and still ride my bike. and for that I'm truly thankfull, don't wanna get all gay on you guys with that last statement.

That said, I'm always looking to be better rider and always asking for feedback and constructive criticism, if you want to use me as a way to make yourself feel better about your riding, a way to show how much better you are or even as an example of a noob, be my guest, at the end it's not me that ends up looking stupid (even though I'm the one that should). Those of you that have been cool and said nice stuff, thank you. and for the rest, no hard feeling here, it's just the internet, I would still go take a ride on a good riding day with you or even have a beer (you buy)

Anyways, that's all.... so, bring on whatever you guys want to say...I'm usually pretty good about it.
