Ah, corners plus gravel! Takes me back to the summer of '87, my aunt was riding with me and I was not used to having a passenger, went into a corner a little too hot and BAM! hit a patch of gravel and we ate it, I felt so bad because my aunt was worse off than I, she had to get stitches in her arm and had some pretty bad road rash, pebbles embedded in the skin. We only doing about 20 maybe less. I'm glad you are alright Ivan, it sucks to hear about it but I would rather hear this than the potential worse case scenario! This is why we wear gear, I cringe at the site of some asshat who chooses NOT to protect themselves. How did those Converse hold up?!

I wear above ankle leather boots with steel toes, plenty of padding and comfortable. Plus, I can't afford riding boots and they have never been very practical for me and my work (or lack of currently, shop is closed all week! again) You should try a pair of decent work boots, I actually really like the way the steel toe feels against the shifter, very solid like a riding boot, and it won't break the bank.

so are you going to go start a thread in hpc to cry about the gayness in mh. and about how you try to preach track because youre level 3 and couldve avoided the gravel without eating it?

I prob would not have been on the street in the first place. You guys dont get tired of riding on the same old streets? I know I did.. That why I sold my first bike.. It gets old being pelted by rocks, getting lectured by cops, worrying about hitting something and end up smacking a tree.. No thanks. I did say to each thier own in my first post as to not offend.

I've been here long enough to see prob 10 people pass from riding aggressive on the street. You know how many have died at the track in that time? I bet someone can guess.

Do you wreck at the track? Sure. I have, twice. One was in turn one at TWS (Texas World Speedway) coming down off the front straight at 150mph.. What happened then? I stood up, fell over, and stood up again and walked away. Didnt wrap myself around any lightpoles, fences, cars. Now tell me why that was??

Everyone gets way too defensive when the precious street is slandered on here..

Wow. a little bit of humbleness. its not that people get defensive, its that peeps like yourself get on a high horse about track and stuff.. people on here ride track aswell but just choose to keep riding streets its just choice..if u dont its cool. but dont slander people for riding street man... that is all

There are more streets available to everyone than tracks. So, I think you would get tired of doing circles at the same track -- much sooner.
