I will add that some bikes transmissions are so that it is next to impossible to feel comfortable floating gears up/down. my rc51's trans felt rock solid and it was a breeze to float them.

It could just be my fault. I think it has more to do with trying to shift to second on a rolling burn out. It could be several hundred passes at the track. I half assed a foot shift at 10K in Mexico the other weekend. It started clicking and then went into gear. I noticed 2nd was after that.
