crabb tar snakes

Felt a little rusty for not having ridden some curvy roads so I went to crabb this afternoon. Boy they laid down so many tar snakes on that road! I can see some parts where they needed to lay some down but for the most part it seems like they deliberately laid them down to mess with motorcycles.

Tar snakes are fun as , just don't freak out when you hit them. A little bit of movement makes the turns more interesting.

wasnt in the best condition to begin with. i seriously doubt they laid in tar snakes just to screw with riders. Contrary to popular belief the state, leo's and firemen do not like to scrape bikers off the pavement or unwedge their faces from a tree.

its hard enough to get the city to patch a hole in a local neighborhood, much less snake a whole road unnecessarily

Maybe they figured it was cheaper to put tar snakes down than employ extra emergency workers on the weekends.

Yes. They do it on purpose to with bikers. WTF! Really? They do it to seal road cracks to make the surface last longer. Get a grip. You want a smooth perfect road surface? Go the the track

Got my attention.

I have only about 6500 miles of experience and when I hit one the other weekend with my front tire I thought the thing had gone down. I looked ahead and saw my buddy's rear tire hit won and slide a little then I knew what the problem was

hey now. . .you're starting to sound like me! Most tracks have tar snakes too! Didn't we just have a thread EXACTLY like this one? The mods might as well remove the search function, it appears no one even attempts to use the thing!

very true. that means that if tracks aren't even perfect, how the can someone expect public roads to be.

Woah buddy calm down. No need to be an internet tough guy. Get some education while your at it, you sound like a high school drop out.

Well back to the topic, Crabb WAS convenient for me since I live at 59 and BW8. I guess I will have to go to one of Frank's SMR to find some new roads. Have a good day folks.

I agree, its close to me and makes a nice quick trip. I was out with a group last month and recieved my first pucker on some of these new tar snakes. Its sucks, but it is what it is. Surely its more pyschological torment than actual tire movement
