2006 636 front brake master cylinder.

I was told that the kawi is a general problem with the front brake master cylinder. I was wondering what is maybe the best aftermarket item i could look for so i can ride safe. I might sell the darn thing i never get a chance to ride the poor thing....

The Nissin radial master cylinders on '04 and up Suzukis and '05 and up Kawis are prone to byapssing internally. You can rebuild them but the issue returns. The least expensive option is to install an '04 up R1 / '06 up R6 master cylinder., however these are getting hard to find.
Another reasonably inexpensive option is to install a Braking 19mm master cylinder.
These are awesome units and come complete with reservoir and switch.
If you'd like a price pm me or call the shop and we can go over your options.

I was wondering that myself. I tried looking online for prices and reviews to get a general idea, but couldn't really find anything. Mine still works just fine, but it has been getting a bit squishier lately. Oh well, another part to add to the ', I have to buy this too' list.

Yeah, I couldn't find much either.

I had a Brembo on my 04 and I absolutely loved it.

If the Braking is just as good, but a little cheaper, I'll go that route.

I'm not happy with the Nissin on my gixxer. I like a FIRM lever and extremely strong brakes. I got the lines in the pads...rotors and MC are next.

It's as good as if not better.
Ask Tom how he likes it on the SV.

I recently got my 06 - 636 and Patrick changed the front master cylinder. It is Nissin brand, its been 3 weeks and i've neen riding frequently ... so far so good.

I noticed it at the last TD and at the suspension class.

Lever felt REALY good.

Now...is the price just as proud??

No, it's at least $100 less than the Brembo and comes complete with reservoir.
