The fact of the matter is, they are ILLEGAL. They do not have the rights we have as LEGAL citizens, yet we still treat them pretty well for what its worth, and they turn around and dishoner our country.
Humanity and and all that aside, when you follow the rules that have been put into effect, we never made them come over here, and we owe them nothing, yet they act like we should. and for some reason we give them a whole lot of free , and seem to have such a hard time putting them out of here.

Its so hard for me to understand why we are being so leinent. If that was a group of pot smokers just standing around, doing NOTHING but just smoking weed, they would have been beaten to a pulp and taken to jail.
Why? because its an illegal act, as so stated by our goverment.

Theres your analogy.

My grandfather is from mexico. he came to the states legally. he is downright about this , and is ready to start his own "mexican revolution" on these people, bless a off old mexican man who is looking for his gun, and is so outraged is having a hard time speaking englamesh!

if u have chosen to live in Y country, respect Y country's flag and everything else.

if u wanna fly X country's flag, u should rather go live in X country. PERIOD.

As a *guest* of foreign countries in the middle east, United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Iraq and of European countries we are told to respect that host countries laws and customs as To avoid complications with the police.
You dont see Americans burning the other countries flags and whipping out Old Glory and running it up the flag pole..You would be beaten, killed and burned on the spot! Or jailed and paraded around as a prisoner for your *criminal behaviour*.
Why does our good ole US of A let it happen here on our soil?
I agree some may think its trivial to get worked up about it.
I take personal offense to it. It goes beyond peaceful demonstration into criminal behaviour.
I would be the first to walk into that crowd and defend the flag. Not as just a piece of clothe, but for the values that it stands for. My values.

I think the people that were protesting (the flag raisers) believe the Southern USA rightfully belongs to Mexico.

I'm not sure where this mindset comes from. It reminds me of the Palestinian/Israel conflict.

I watch the occasional Off to War on Discovery Times, it seems to give a pretty honest picture of life in Iraq, but I wouldn't know. The recurrent theme I noticed on the show was that most troops felt they shouldn't be there and a lot of the Iraqis felt the same way, so I share that view with them.

I asked Davidrr because, IMO, soldiers stating they SHOULDN'T be there vs. stating they don't WANT to be there are WAY different. Who would WANT to be there, right?

It sucks here. And you appreciate the USA and on those who dont respect it!
I do believe that despite the problems with crime, racism, poverty,* add your probs here* , the USA is still the best place on Earth.
Too bad so many want it just handed to them and not work to improve and maintain the standards we ALL enjoy.
Like I said before I have seen too much sacrifice to just watch that stuff go on.
It would not have been unanswered on my watch!

First off...raising the Flag on government property without the consent of our government is completely illegal...being here illegally is ILLEGAL...inciting riots is illegal...and before anyone else says something dumb this is going to become a problem within our nation within a year...somewhat of a CIVIL WAR...and make a MOTOARIZONA.COM and stay off our site!

Here's a quote from one of this nations great presidents with regard to this issue...

"In the first place we should insist that if the immigrant who comes here in good faith becomes an American and assimilates himself to us, he shall be treated on an exact equality with everyone else, for it is an outrage to discriminate against any such man because of creed, or birthplace, or origin. But this is predicated upon the man's becoming in very fact an American, and nothing but an American...

There can be no divided allegiance here. Any man who says he is an American, but something else also, isn't an American at all. We have room for but one flag, the American flag, and this excludes the red flag, which symbolizes all wars against liberty and civilization, just as much as it excludes any foreign flag of a nation to which we are hostile...We have room for but one language here, and that is the English language...and we have room for but one sole loyalty and that is a loyalty to the American people."

--Theodore Roosevelt, 1919

...words to live by
