Nah man, I just know how it feels looking at the parts in the garage. It's nice to see it all come together. (and when it scares the out of you, it's all worth it)

3 keepers on 3 valves came loose. I hit the rev limiter when wheel broke loose at 330'. Putting SS valves in and 3 valve seals. #2 rod bearing getting changed out too.

Carolina had to swap out 2 retainers due to keeper damage. That scenario is what worries my about extending the rev limiter.

I guess that something you have to learn to deal with. I should have shifted when it broke loose. It's a different animal when you add a lot of power.

why are yall not using a window switch to kill the nitrous 300 rpm before the rev limter? That way you dont spray on the limiter if you spin, miss shift, etc

Yes....you really need a window switch to turn off the dope.....but odds are, if you're fogging the air box and it goes on the limiter, its still gonna suck in the dope in the box even if the kit turns off.... though Foggers are another story.....I prefer direct port foggers for big dope shots....

Not to mention they usually don't shift while spinning the tire anyway....unless you go full race cut/drum mod and maybe the full auto tranny..... and sometimes they STILL miss gears..... They don't like to shift when spinning....

David that sucks about your motor, hopefully you get it patched up soon. Make sure to replace all the rod bearings, clean the cases and oiling circuits VERY well.....or you will pump bearing material right back into the crank and rod bearings....That bearing material is likely all inside the oil circuits.... Odds are, those 1.30 60's are causing oil starvation in the oil pick up.....even with the swiveling oil pick up....

I HATE low profile pans with the swivel pick up......low pro pans are NOTHING but trouble....although a necessity for heavy duty drag racing....You may look into some crank case baffling/windage tray....help keep the oil in the pan....

Don't let George talk you into that dry sump BS either or you will REALLY have problems....

My window is 6k-10k at 85% tp. My issue was bouncing off the limiter when spinning and not letting out

Thanks for the advice Alan. My bike is apart in my garage NOT in a shop. Besides myself, Colt is the ONLY one working on it. It seems to be a lot cheaper. The head is apart in his shop, we are waiting on valve seals to come in. The oil pan I have has the swivel pick up, but I will look into the windage tray. All rod bearings have been checked with plastiguage and all are good except one. Funny thing is that's the one that had good compression, go figure.

I hope to have it back together within a couple weeks. All this could have probably been avoided, guess it could have been worse.

(sorry for the thread jack Robbie) lol

Yes on motor. I'm assuming that is when the damage was done.
