While your out there riding there are instructors making laps too, keeping an eye on things for stuff you (as a rider) can improve on, or possible safety hazards (squids) or wrecks, if someone goes down the riders just keep going, the instructor will stop, and examine the situation, if it's just a runoff, the rider normally just gets back on the track at first clear spot, if it's a wreck, they've got a paddy wagon they send out to bring everything back in. All in all, as long as no one gets hurt it's not that big of a deal.

People push harder at the track and things go wrong.
I would say there are lots of run offs, 4-8 crashes (I saw upto 15 per day) and rarely a bad one (bad enough to get delivered to hospital. Those are once in a few trackdays? Much less at Buck's trackdays ).
Whatever happens at the track, stays at the track.
You sign waver before the day starts.
That means everybody covers their own.
Even if you get in a crash caused by somebody else, nobody's going to pay for yours.
So, the same rule applies even at the track.
Ride your own, be safe and act smart, then you'll be fine.
