What i miss the most about living in Mexico!

I miss riding the Maxi-Pista.... their version of paid toll roads with the exception that there are no actual speed limits and since it is a private owned toll road the cops rarely get on it and even if they see you fly down the highway chances are they will never catch you

sea sickness from :40 to 1:00!
does the road have any twisty parts or is it all straights and gentle turns?
the nurburring has a sharp right after a good size straightaway. we need more widowmakers like this on the road lol

Most of the twisty turns are on the non paid hwys, from Guadalajara to Puerto Vallarta toll road has sharper long sweepers and lots of elevation changes but also about 7 hours from where i was living at that time.

The Tres Marias run has very nice turns but it is a highly transited two way road so i didnt really enjoy it as much, and the federales will pull you over if they see you speeding!

I rarely ride at night.... But i guess you could do it anywhere but my point is that in Mexico you dont have to worry about cops at all!

We passed a policia federal at 3:41 and he never bothered to even look at us, later at a rest spot he came by to take pictures of the bikes.

The road from Guadalajara to Ameca and Mixtlan there's a portions that has some wicked turns. But at yur right there's the canyon. n Talk about having nerves of steel.

There's a fantastic reason why the cops bother you on highways when you do stuff like in the posted video.

The Germans have what they called "Bundesautobahn", the Mexicans have their own version called "Maxi Pistas", both were designed with high speed interstate mobility in mind!

Try to find a speed limit sign on the video and you will find "none" because there are not enforced at all!

The Maxi Pista has been around for a long time and there has been more accidents on the normal hwy with posted speed limits than on the Maxi Pistas so far, that is a clear indication that speed alone is not a factor for a higher rate of accidents.

It is also a private toll road (not owned/controlled by the govt) and it is by no means cheap, the toll booth can run you up to $70 USD. on a typical Sunday Ride! People that choose to get on the Maxi Pista are fully awared of fast bikes, fast lambos and ferraris that share the same roads. It is also a very safe hwy since its access is controlled and every single plate is being recorded at every entry and exit, so less chance for robberies and carjackers!

For the people that dont like to drive on a unrestricted hwy they can always choose the "free/public" hwy..... but for those who like speed they can access the Maxi Pista and not having to worry about getting pulled over for speeding, in other words.... dont buy a movie and complain about nudity being a big part of its contents

they're still baffled at the fact that Mexico has roads...

They're trying to figure out how it is that they didn't see a single Burro in the video...They think it's a hoax... It's not really Mexico.

You're a liar Sunday Rider!

all they see is what the tv news show them for that 30-45 seconds span..... i am 100% Chinese and i have lived in Guadalajara/Vallarta and Mexico City for over 7 years, i can honestly say that Mexico is a beautiful country and most of the people are very friendly to all nationalities. Just like any other major city, there are some places that are known for illegal activities and yes there is a drug war going on right now, but as long as you are careful and try to avoid night clubs and the narco cities you will be alright.
