What do you tell people when they ask you what kind of bike you have??

What do you tell people when they ask you what kind of bike you have??

If it's some random person, I usually tell them a Suzuki. Or I might just say a fast one and they'll give me the usual "bikes are dangerous" speech. If they get annoying, I tell them it's a Kawasaki gixxer 1300rr. If they look like they might know about bikes, I just tell them a 750. If they're kids that look like they just wish they had a bike, I tell them it's a gixxer. If it's someone who seems like they are actually interested in talking bikes, I give the full GSX-R 750.

I usually say "An old Italian bike, a dirt bike with street tires, and a sportbike"

If they say "What kind of EyeTalian bike" then I figure it will be a good conversation.

I say "Yamaha, Seca II 600"

.................................................. a what?...is this a NEW sportbike? never heard of it!"

I usually say "its a 97'. But it's ok, nobody heard of it, even when it was being sold from 92 thru 98. "

I tell em': "Lot's of bikes. You name one and I will tell you if I don't have one". Saves time......

They always start with Harley and I say "Nope". That usually ends it....

If I start listing them, they haven't even heard of half of them.....and most of the time, they have no idea what they are getting in to asking me a loaded question like that.

But I did sell one last month! Course I have already replaced it with another.......
