alright.. just got to see the bike... it doesnt look that bad... the tank is dented a little and the plastics are cracked bad... no damage to the motor(that I could see)..

i didnt check the forks tho... the right peg broke off, the brake lever broke(end half broke off) and the front fairing has a big crack and the right side also

i dont think it is totalled... i might decide to keep the bike

but i dunno... my parents want me to sell it for sure now..

You should probably follow their guidance. And don't claim it on insurance.

So you had to sign a ticket while under the influence of strong pain medicine? I thought you couldn't do that but maybe I'm wrong. It also seems like a rear(Just saying) tire on a motorcycle will skid a lot longer than a cars tire will traveling at the same speeds, again, I may be wrong.

If there were skidmarks, he doesn't know how to ride a motorcycle.

The police can't guess at the speed that you were going. It must be witnessed. If all you got was a speeding ticket you will get off.

I tried to control it but it threw me off and send me onto the pavement... the bike went left and i went right.. i was in so much shock i didnt realize i was hurt.. I have road rash all over my arms, back, knees, and shoulder... my left wrist is broke... and my helmet is cracked and scratched BAD... if it wasnt for the helmet i would be dead

all i wanted to say is i regret not wearing my jacket and you should always have full gear...

dont know if the bike is totalled... hopefully not since i just spent $500 yesterday to get it out of motorcycles unlimited for new dyna coils...

:-(

i think i am going to buy a car and wait a while before i touch another bike.. and if i do i will be wearing full gear at ALL times.. sucks typing with one hand that has road rash..

so wear your gear

Sorry to hear about the accident and wishing speedy recovery. You said that the bike wobble and tank slap, it must have been fast for the bike to lift up the front end and do tank slap, do you agreed? Just pay the ticket or get defensive driving.

alright. thanks

insurance is going to be fixing the bike(mechanical and body).. and then I will put it up for sale... I just spent $500 on new dyna coils too...

where should I take the bike to get a quote?? motorcycles unlimited? and then a body shop?? Which body shop??

How much should I sell it for?? Considering I dropped another $500 into the bike on the ignition and it's going to have a new custom paint job, ect afterwards.... if someone wants to buy it right now before i get it painted i will let them choose the paint scheme..

I would be asking $3500-4000.. not sure yet.. and yes this is jerrel's, chris's, and ryan's old bike

the bike said he measured the mark where it was layed over to the point where it stopped.. and yeah i was speeding so i will take defensive driving and not argue..

I am just going to buy a car for daily and get another bike in a year or 2

reason for tank slap was because i was going too fast and hit a bump/hill(didnt see it)

if you DO get insurance to pay for it, ask for OEM ORIGINAL plastics and colors...itll be worth alot more to collectors.

pm me your selling price as is right now wrecked.

I will try getting pictures tomorrow.. road rash sucks.. I was wearing a fossil watch which i believe is what caused my wrist to break because the watch is ****ED.. i remember doin a quick prayer as i was flying off the bike and tucking

thanks for the concern

I cant believe I couldnt control the bike... the handle bars kept slapping the side of the bike and next thing i know I was in the air.. I got up and the first thing I did was jump up and was mad because my pants were ****ed... haha... then i realized i was bleeding everywhere.. i live by the hospital.. to i got there fAST
Prayers are always. Good to hear you are alright. It could happen to all of us bor. Tank slappers are crazy to control you almost have to give it more gas to get them to stop which is the opposite thing that goes through your mind at the time.

You didn't say the popo was involved. You should have told him a dog ran out front of ya or something. I mean if no one else wasn't involved you shouldn't get a ticket with the pain and suffering you had enough punishment. What a pig. I would fight it. I mean what kind of physics degree did the popo get? IF he was that smart he wouldn't be a cop making 20k a year.

Oj was guity as sin and he is walking around playing golf.

So if he got off so should this dude. The cop did not see it happen and the dog story would take care of the failure to control vehicle. I would fight it. That is bs the cop wrote him anyway he has suffered enough that is is just adding insult to injury from a bike hat'n oinker.
