I wish I had heard of these guys 4 months ago

http://www.clevelandcyclewerks.com/b...nd-cyclewerks/

There is a dealer in town for these, and I would totally have jumped on one of these. They are underselling a new ninja 250 with higher quality parts on a really attractive bike. , they are underselling a lot of used ninja 250s as well. Also, cafe racer = win.

U.S. designed, China manufactured I believe. I picked up the link from an interview in www.hellforleathermagazine.com

cool design, props on that. always good to see new bikes on the market.

as far as comparing it to the 250s i think the price difference is justified, half the power, max speed of 75, 2 gallon tank (says 5 in one of the pics but the specs say 2) and a kick starter.

It looks like the suspension is better though, which is a pretty difficult thing to mask on the price tag. Also for a bike that small I don't know if a kick starter is a selling point or a negative. No one is going to have trouble using it, and it definitely adds a little extra "cool".

Yeah, these guys tried getting all American, but the manufacturers were worried about liability. Couldn't get anyone to pick them up without heavy markups.

Many of us have seen the quality of inexpensive Chinese bikes and that concern is going to be in the back of anyone's mind when looking at a bike at this price point, but Scott assures me, quality is high on his list of requirements and these bikes meet his demand for a high quality and low price motorcycle. Of course, many manufacturers, including the Japanese big four, are building bikes in China themselves, so this should be a lesser concern in the future. Time will tell as our experience with these bikes increases.

Those cheaply anodized USD forks are an eye sore.
If I were on a budget, I'd be more concerned with quality materials/craftsmanship rather than chinese bling.
