I feel for the families of the women.

Sad that in both cases they veered out of their lane into oncoming traffic, and at least one didn't have on a helmet. Makes you wonder about their experience and training...

It's getting close to the season people. New riders, unskilled, no gear... at least try to take the time to impress on your friends and family that ride, the importance of gear, training, practice, and the application of a tiny bit of common sense.

"We" are invisible out there, and will always loose in a contest with a car.

Probably more like 70-80.. he had just passed another vehicle and was looking back at his dad to see if he came around... then found the grill of a Ford.

Either way, I know for a fact the helmet has saved me at least twice, at 50-60 and 90 or so. Pavement meeting your head unprotected is akin to tossing a watermelon out the window on the highway. Think about that for a sec.....

You however are casting blame on an outright "STUPID decision". As mentioned earlier, that choice could be extrapolated to bike riding in general. When "Coach & Andy" passed in their accidents, did you casually stand there at the wake and say "it was their decision, I have no sympathy for either"? Could they have been wearing more or better quality gear at their accidents? If so, the same could be said there. "What if...." does no one any good. And remember, you're the one who said "call me a ". I'm just replying to your wish.

Ok.....enough cluttering up an rip thread. Condolences to the families on their loss.

RIP
I agree with Craig

Also no need to bring Andy in this thread...

Even more so a to make a post like that in an RIP thread. hopefully you'll find out where the funeral is so you can go protest it. ( tard......)
