Wait...because someone doesn't want to ride well into "reckless driving" pace, that makes them a less skilled rider????

there is nothing wrong with cruising at a slower pace, i think most people think our SMRs are only for fast riders , if you ever been to our rides you will learn that we do a little cruise at a pretty moderate pace before we get to point B .... and yes some of the riders in the front pack enjoy a little faster pace than the rest of the group but i wouldn't call it "reckless driving" at all! Speed is a very subjective word, what is considered a fast pace for harley riders might be a little too slow for sport bike riders..... so what it seems like reckless driving to a less experienced (less skilled) rider might just be our regular cruising speed at most.

Our top priority is that everyone makes it home safely, and we put no pressure in making people keep up with the front group unless you have some skills to do it safely without putting others in danger. We have been doing the SMRs for over 6 years and so far we only had a handful of accidents, mostly caused by new riders that bring their ego with them and try to keep up with faster riders in the front group.

Less ? Not as intense? Yeah, I might agree with that. But not as skilled, that's a stretch.

Everyone have FUN tomorrow, whatever pace you like to ride on the street!

See some of you out there!

I meant reckless driving in a police officer's POV, not comfortable speed level.
I'll prob come out one day and check out your ride. However, my first post was to say that for TOMORROW I'm looking for a more moderate pace. I'm not sure how it got read into more than that....I thought it was straight forward.

just because some riders are going fast, does not mean that the others should try to keep up, its not like they pressure you to ride at a extremely fast pace.

everyone should ride at a pace where they feel comfortable.

i have ridden with the sunday riders, a couple of weekends ago, and yeah maybe some go at a fast pace, but not everyone. no one gets left behind.
just like any other group.

no reason to argue over the internet who's fast and who's not!

on another note, i just pmed helios about where and when tommorow

^^you guys are more than welcome to join us! We will split the group if necessary, i will say only 30% of the riders are in the first group the rest of the group always keep a very moderate pace from start to end of the ride^^

Don't know why NutRider volunteered me outta the blue but...
Short ride cause he has to be back by 11am so not much time.
We normally ride from Katy (I-10 and Fry) up to Hockley then 362 to 2979 and back.
Half the route is all straights getting from Katy to 290.
Meeting at 8am will give us a better ride window.

Meet at the Starbucks on Fry Rd and Park Row (2 lights north of I-10 ) behind the Shell.
What time you guys wanna meet?
