Compression Tester

Ok I just picked up a old 1980 Honda Cm 400T and I am looking at it I don't know how long its been since its been run so I oiled up the cylinders to loosen the rings up and I cleaned them out I went to hook up my compression guage to see if it will build compression and it doesnt fit. So I was wondering if anybody would be willing to let me rent or borrow a compression guage. I am still deciding on if I wanna restore this bike it was givin to me I dont have a title I might use the engine for a golfcart it is missing the carbs it looks like a hella fun bike to ride its a inline twin. But first I gotta see if the motor will build compression
