Saturday Morning Ride/Then Saint Arnolds for Tour

Saturday 01/22/2011
8:00am ksu 8:20am
Waffle House (hwy 6 & I-10)

1015 N. HWY 6
HOUSTON, TX 77079

Been wanting to put something like this together for quite some time. I have a good window this Saturday, so lets do it. Weather looks like it will be PERFECT!

We will meet up early and depending on the concensus, we will take a nice ride to Crabb River. After our ride we come back into town and have a meet at Saint Arnolds Brewery. I would like to get there by at least 10:30am So we can grab some food to take in while we hang out and brag about our riding skills!

Saint Arnolds Brewery
2000 Lyons Ave.
Houston, TX 77020
http://www.saintarnold.com/

MEET: 10:30am brewery opens at 11:00am

The way it works:
Pay $7 to get into the Brewery.

You get:
4 Tokens and an 8oz glass to try 4 of their many beers
If you don't want beer, they have water and Root Beer
A tour of the brewery (they have 3).
You can Also purchase a bigger glass, and still use those tokens to fill them up.

Saint Arnolds has a really great atmosphere and it's a really good place to hang out and be loud as you can be.

If you have never been, take this opportunity and come check it out. If you can't make the early ride, just cage it up there.

Hope to see a good turn out!

List

1. NewRider
2. Johnsonzx6n'it
3. Helios (Strong Maybe)
4. Pester (don't be scared of the cold )
5. baditalian00 (weather will be fine)
6. ?

Thank you for your input

Now if you would have read the OP, I mention there is also an option of root beer and water.
Nobody's hand is being forced here, and this is no difference from any other meets that are at bars.

And if you did not notice the ride is before the brewery, the brewery is open from 11am to 2pm. The glasses are 8oz and you only get 4 that's 32oz typical beer is 12oz at the rate that alcohol goes out of your system is a drink per hour. We would have 3 hours at the brewery. I'm sure no one is getting " up" here.

Any other insignificant or obvious comments you have for this thread??

But thanks for your concern and advice.

Come on the ride man, it'll be fun, the Brewery is optional anyways, I just like the place and it's a good place to chill.

They don't actually take you on a tour. They just put you in a room to drink and that's it.

Although its been a while, what few meets I've been to (Hooters and such) I can honestly say I've rarely seen people drinking. Most guys riding are usually drinking soda and such. Wearing gear and lack of booze during meets and rides are one of the better attributes that apply to most MH riders. Beer + bike = Jail and/or Death

Btw...

Btw, can you brag about your riding skills with only 4-8 months of riding under your belt? Jk man...sure you got your training wheels off by now.

Is your pace going to be the same as last nights ride?! I'll see where I stand after I order my shirts tomorrow. Might have to order just one so I can squeeze out another tank of gas for this. I've been to SA before for a buddies wedding reception it's a cool place, the vats are a nice visual element for good chillin times.

Again, I think you missed the part about ME (now mentioning this for the 3rd time) saying that they have WATER AND ROOT BEER.

What was your point??

So, does this mean you are coming??

Edit: and regarding riding skills, I've never been the one to brag and I don't, just thought it would be a funny thing to type. but like I've said before, to me is not the number of years you've own a bike, is the amount of miles and the consistence in which you ride. I could have bought a bike ten years ago, but what if I only ride it 2 or three times a month?? are my skills or experience more than that of someone that baught one a year ago, and rides the out of it any chance they get??

and I say to you as the last guy, do you have any other obvious regurgitated opinions that have already been addressed, to post??

If my back feels better i might come out and play at CR for a bit, but will most likely split after that..... imo Drinking and Riding just Don't Mix, no matter how skillful you think you are, after a few beers you will be putting yourself and others around you in danger.

Don't worry everyone will (should) be sober for CR... The brewery is after the ride...

DO IT!

I might not be able to keep up with you though (I've seen the videos )

I'll just hang back

A friend of mine might come out with his camera and take some pictures on the turns. Cross your fingers!

As long as there aren't any "last second exits" I'm going to try to make this. SA brewery is not too far from my house and I would like to visit it again!
