You know New Rider Season is approaching when...

...the jackets and helmets come off at 60 deg F...

...the common biker wave is replaced by many w the 'honk honk' look at me! look at me! Im on a bike(no chit genius)...

...shiney new bikes appear at apartment complexes just ripe for the taking...

...people you've seen out many-a-time now have a bike and talk about their vast racing experience...

...you talk about the forest, coldsprings, 390 or the 3 sisters and the other party has a blank look on their faces...

...every ride has someone locking up the rear brake at 5mph...

We cant divulge all the secrets over the web otherwise everyone will drown out those spots. But there are rides up through the area at least once a month when cold, much more regularly as the temperature climbs.

I should have know this thread wasn't about me when the words "New" and "Rider" weren't together

Though I haven't done 3090...

Have done Navasota, 1488, and Crabb....Planning on doing 3 Sisters in Spring

I was just talking about this to someone when we went to PP1 and there was only 3 more riders besides us. Guess the cold is too scawwie

haha thanks, the rider down threads were a reason I stopped riding/posting the end of summer/fall. Didn't want to be profiled anymore.

PS- I forgot the best one of all:
You know New Rider Season is approaching when Top Q&A Thread is:

"HELP! BIKE WON'T START!"

Live in Houston and work in Conroe off 336, so looks like some nice roads are just a hop skip and jump away!

Ok, so a very large hop skip and jump...worth it to find some roads that aren't so straight and congested though
