Question for the cops in here....

I've been having a hard time making time to get my out of state bike registered in Texas. The inspection isn't an issue, it's the time it takes to drive the courthouse(Tax office) and get Texas tags which of course means taking a significant amount of time off; if not an entire day which could add up to a few hundred dollars. (I work 7-6 Monday-Saturday) and have yet to locate a tax office open on Saturdays or Sundays. I do have my Texas license and M endorsement and carry insurance and my old (Now expired)out of state registration.

Will you impound my bike if I get pulled over?

better safe than sorry. I got pulled over twice with no license or M, and got lucky. Respect goes a long way, but not every time.

Drop your info off at a title company that opens early and pick them up after work.

No need for the courthouse, you can just pay at a major DMV. I just registered the bike I bought/plates/taxes at the DMV/courthouse on Clay between barkercypress and hwy 6.

They take cash or credit card for the taxes and registration. Went on my lunch break and got out of there within 30 minutes.

A title comp. will do the leg work for you. It will cost less than missing work.

This is probably the easiest thing to do as others have suggested, no need for a courthouse or an entire day off. My guess is you haven't even called the DMV or looked into it.......so YES they will impound your bike! j/k
