Thanks for enabling me to ride tonight guys. Those who helped out get a free knife sharpening. Who was sweeping on the red bike? Thanks for putting up with me, still getting used to these tires (which don't have a lot of life left on them anyway)! Now I know why sportbiker reputations are questionable I didn't know the route so I ended up behind two others that missed the exit that everyone else took (last second ), then they took the loop again, got stuck behind a truck on a curve and didn't know where to go from there but home It was a fun ride though

The last time I was on a big group ride like that (with the exception of Ivans' birthday, which was a short one from Ikea to the Lot) was in the hill country (many, many of them) and I was the only sportbike! Apart from that, I have only done a couple of trips with just one other sportbike. It's interesting to ride with a group of them. I had a lot of fun, not knowing the curve ahead at one point I came in a little hot and there was a pretty large wet spot I couldn't avoid and I had to swing out a little wide, I checked to see where you where and you where not behind me or beside me. I guess you knew that curve was coming up Didn't chance it with the tires so I took it easy slowing down and taking it without too much lean.

, going in too hot... It freaks me out every time I read, see, or hear about it cuz that's how I went down.

At the end of it all, slower is safer.

It wasn't that hot but it gave me enough cause for concern, I knew the curve was not suited for the speed I was going without a proper knowledge of what the tires are capable of! Know that I have been riding the hill country for over 5yrs, and we're talkin deer, cows, coons, and gazel (one guy has on his property, don't speed there!) I just don't want to chance too much lean on these tires (that I am not familiar with, plus since they are used, I don't know how many heat cycles they have seen!) so I slowed and took it as wide as possible so not to upset the suspension too much and give me a surprise I didn't want. I suffered no slippage, and was probably able to put more lean then I was actually doing, after my "post ride inspection". I'm glad I took it safe none the less!

Sorry guys, had to head out early due to early meeting at work. Rode with a couple guys headed down by the W. Houston airport, then to Barker...

Promise I'll stay out next week.

Nice meeting everybody.
