And the OP, your running with a group, riding like and can't figure out why the PD gives you greif?

Look man. I never said I didn't go fast.. I didn't even start this thread to talk .. But your making it that way.. So here goes.. No one said we ride like and if you would like come to one of our Katy meets..and see we don't ride like that.. Check yourself dude.... The day I got the charge for evading there was some guy who died out there.. We didn't run.. But I do see your point in adding to the stigma... But still its just another case of Haters hating..

The quote that are significant (Rykoson quoting someone that explained a sitiuation similar to what went on that day)
Ok, so then that was the case? Just speeding and pulled over once you saw a cop in the rearview and he was accused of running? That does suck, and if that's the case, I hope OP gets it fixed.

And if that's what's going on, then the original statement stands. Look up route gang and thank them for the stigma on everyone straddling a crotch rocket.

Yeah I saw the posting about that but will not name...

One thing I understood even before buying a motorcycle was, I need to be ready to be on my P's and Q's and understand that traffic stops might be more harder to avoid.

That being said, I wouldn't be mad at being stopped when speeding, I would just think of it as a "Karma" catching up for all those other times I wasn't caught. It comes with the territory, to sit here and about the bad image bikes get is pretty pointless to me. We have all contributed to it at one point or another, just because we have been lucky and not gotten caught or WE think there isn't anyone around when we do it. It's all the same.

We're all in the same boat and some of us need to come back down here with the rest of us, and get off those high horses.

The new law about requiring MSF for your M was a direct result of all the problems with people riding dirty... again, it's all about perception.

Have to agree with ya on this one.

Having a particular stigma attached to riding a sport bike comes with the territory. You either deal with it, buy a cruiser, or stop riding all together.

Your perception is your reality...unfortunately a lot of peoples perceptions of sport bike riders are warped

I've been riding in and around Houston since October of 1986 and have never been pulled over or ticketed - what's your point?
