Hit & Run - Need your help, please!!!

Our good friend, Jim Vagas was injured in a motorcycle wreck. It happened on Thursday night (13 Jan., 2011) between 10:30 and 11:00pm, northbound on Studemont, just before the I-10 bridge. Red Triumph motorcycle, unknown other vehicles.

Jim is currently in Memorial Hermann Northwest Hospital with multiple rib fractures, a broken clavicle, crushed hand and a concussion. Jim works in sales at British USA/Gulf Coast BMW and is a great ambassador to our community.

If anyone saw the accident or the aftermath, please let us know.

Please pass this along. Thanks

Sorry to hear about your friend...

That's a bad area right now specially with the construction going on and all the people leaving Washington.

It's gonna be tough solving this, good luck... Does he remember any details??

Unfortunately he was knocked unconcious. He remembers a blonde girl helping him, but she was gone by the time the ambulance arrived. He thinks it was a female that hit him, but he's not sure. He could be confusing the help with the accident. Luckily he was wearing a full-face Arai or it could have been much worse.

Know Jim as he came to Houston about 5-6 years ago from a Ft. Worth BMW shop to work for the BMW shop that was in The Woodlands but wound up working for Cliff at British USA/Gulf Coast BMW. Certainly a good guy and credit to industry.
If not mistaken, this is the second time he was hit since being in Houston. He had a BMW 1100 Rockster that was totaled and then he went to a tricked out Truxton.
Really feel bad this occured as I saw him last weekend at his store. Wishing him a speedy recovery and return to the Triumph store.

hmmm, city of Houston might have something on one of the many traffic cameras along the freeway. Not sure how one could get access to that information though.

This is where I was imagining this happening...

That's kinda a really area right now, cuz of the way they have the street blocked off. I avoid it as much as I can if I'm on the bike. No cameras around there either. Again, good luck to your friend

I know when I had my concussion on my bike wreck, I couldn't remember .
I still don't. First thing I remember to this day is looking around the CT scan machine, then getting wheeled out to a waiting room and some very familiar faces walking towards me with their gear in tow.

Glad he's doing good.
