In everything but traffic court, maybe. It's been my sorry experience that TC is a prove-yourself-innocent system. You have to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the cops made a "mistake". Cops are never wrong. Oh no. Never! But they may have just been a bit mistaken when they pulled over a motorcyclist that wasn't trying to evade them.

Good advice about trying to find out if you passed apartment security cameras or something that could bolster your "I was just leaving my apartment" defense. Simply being that close to home leads cops and judges to believe they got they right guy because, hey, where else would you be - right?

Get a lawyer. No way in getting around it - this is going to cost you money. Just be prepared to go in there expecting to have to convince the judge, because he will believe the cops until you PROVE it to him they got the wrong guy. TC judges have NO sense of humor they've heard every story in the book a million times. Have all your ducks in a row and know your details and be prepared to argue that grass is green because nothing you say will be believed at first.

As far as calling their supervisor goes, good luck with that. As far as they're concerned this is now a matter for the court and you can til you're blue in the face but all you may succeed in doing is alerting their super to who you are, and he may just have to personally make sure they do NOT miss your court date - so knock yourself out...

Good luck. You're going to need it.

3. get rid of all them pigs, just leave the honest cops on this earth.

Try this

Why don't u have a talk with I.A.D.(internal affairs) They are supposed to follow up with these kinda problems. I've done it but you have to be on there about it. Don't let the pigs try and talk you away, that's just a scare tactic to get you to drop it. Demand that you speak with IAD and they have to allow you to speak to them, if you speak to just a supervisor he/she might end up "sweeping this under a rug" and you will still have to face your charges in court.Good luck.

So were you speeding? Is that what you were cited for, its kinda weird if they thought it really was you running from them that they wouldnt have hauled your in on the spot.

So if an IAD complaint is filed, the charges are dropped?

Is there video of this stop? When I asked, I never got an answer....

Dude!!!! i'm telling you....... find out what time they were running. You and I were on phone talking about that job before that. If you were on the phone at the time of them running you have it beat. you can't be in two places at once.
