Are you F**king kidding me? They f**K you in the without the lube. If you say please, they might lube it up real good and stick their fist in your . Everything they used is new, they don't have the time to look for used parts. They would have a parking lot full of wreck bikes if they do. Don't be stupid. Everything has a price, you wanted a brand new looking bike better be prepared to bend over and make sure you bring your own lube and pain killers because it's gonna hurt big time. From your parts description, it's totalled or else have it fix cheap with a custom paint job. House of pain a member of this forum can do it for you cheap. Check him out. Remember that the bike dealers don't do paint job. It's either sublet the parts to a body shop or order a factory parts that is painted already.
Interested of selling the bike?

Ricky,
If they total it, at that point your negotiations are with your insurance company, not the dealership.
Check what NADA Blue Book value is, add any additional accessories, usually only allowable to 50%, and stand firm with that figure to your insurance company. Typically they will try to low ball you on their first couple of offers to try to get you to settle for less; stick to your guns.
If you need NADA value or just some further advice, feel free to call me at the shop.

Ricky I have a truck and trailer you know that. BUT, I work for stubbs cycles, and when we do a wreck bike it has to be perfect. Before a wreck can leave our shop it must be perfect. And we can not call a bike totalled, that is the insurence companys job. BUT, at times if a bike is close to being totalled we would just rather have it totalled then have to deal with it. SO saying all a dealership wants to do is take money, is totall bull . When you get your bike back look at it, if you find anything wrong, tell the dealer and make them fix it.

close to being totalled = LOTS of repair hours
LOTS of repair hours = LOTS of money
money = A good thing to have

and your right....dealerships don't want to take all of your money, just most of it. i'm not saying all dealerships are stealerships.....just 99% of them.

i'd rather take it to patrick at motorcycles unlimited. at least we all know he's good at what he does.

Do you really think insurence companys pay top dollar for labor, no, they pay factory flat rate. They paid me 10 hrs to do a frame swap on a VL 1500, not even the tech that has been there for 15 yrs could do it in that amount of time. Like I said before we find ALL the parts the bike needs. The adjuster comes and looks at it adds up all the parts then decides if its totalled that is not up to us. And Ricky quit being a post .

ricky, that bike sounds totaled bro. Let her go and snag a new ride. For what it's worth, Texas Yamaha has been around a long time for a reason. That bike is more than safe in their hands, it's the insurance man who makes the "totaled" decision. RIP ricky's bike
