April 9-17 trip to Cali PCH

A few of us are headed to the west coast to ride in April.

We'll be trailering and hitting up some good spots, as well as the Grand Canyon on the way back.

No room for extras, but just putting it out there if you have the means to tag along and are interested.

Plan to drive out in two days, overnite in Tucson most likely
Ride Mulholland etc Mon am, the load and head north to San Jose
Ride Monterey and Big sur area tues
Check out San Fran Weds am
Load up and head to Red Bluff Weds afternoon
Ride 36 and big trees on Thurs
head back to Flagstaff Friday
visit Grand Canyon Sat am, then on to Wichita Falls or there abouts
home Sun nite

Pace is "brisk", spirited at times, average 250-300 miles a day, + or -..

Couple things to keep in mind, just an FYI for anyone considering joining up.

One planned road crosses an Army base. You'll need all your ducks in a row because they check at the gate. Valid Lic with M stamp, inspection, insurance, etc.

We ride on these trips, so plan on early to rise and late to bed. Not much partying going on, but we try to see some sights and take one or two pics.

This trip is definately NOT geared towards beginners or riders uncomfortable on curvy roads with lots of elevation changes.

We are all cheap dates.. so we get the off the track budget hotels and meals.... up side it's usually quieter and less worries about the bikes and stuff.

Thursday route...

http://tinyurl.com/thurredwoods

Yeah I know, 327 miles doesn't sound like much.. think of 3090 combined with 336 with more hills... and tighter turns.

No Joke! Almost all of my pics from my last two trips with him are at gas stations or restaurants. Once the old man starts rollin, he doesn't stop for anything.

Morvegil, I sent you a pm. I didn't want clutter up the old man's trip thread and make him mad. Basically, I like it a lot.
