Hey Rick, I wish I had some more riding/experience under my belt. I'd join you man. Especially since we're on the same side of town but, with a 40% chance of rain tonight I'm afraid (literally) I'll have to pass. Have fun. Stay safe.

This is your chance to learn. If you don't ever go out riding when it is wet, what do you do when you get caught in the rain?

words from the wise .....

you gotta learn sometime
and if you do get caught in the rain, wait under a bridge or somethin for about 10 minute before you get goin again, cuz it takes a bit of rain for the oil to rise up from the concrete.

If your tires are good you shouldn't have any trouble riding in the rain. I've road about 45 minutes in the rain from College Station to SW Houston and kept it at a constant 90mph with no trouble. Just watch out for the lane markers cuz they can be a bit slippery.

NEVER RIDE OUTSIDE YOUR MEANS!!! If the guy doesn't feel comfortable yet then he shouldn't ride. Being aware and being a nervous wreck are 2 very different things. He's more likely to crash in fear of making a move if he isn't comfortable yet! You're a for calling him a

constant 90 is cool in rain, esp riding straight lines on freeway.
its the braking u hv to be careful with cos u hv very lil available traction. or if u r riding the small strrets, then be careful in sharp turns too
