What is your dream motorcycle trip?

I want to do a coast to coast of south america on a dirt bike.

I want to do the PCH with a few friends.

and I want to ride the amalfi coast on a ducati.

Those are mine, what "dream motorcycle trip" would you take?

Isle of Mann would be awesome

Alps tour

Ride up to Alaska

Heading to the PCH in April so that ones checked off..

Maybe not so much "dream rides" as bucket list..

Deals Gap area, done
Arkansas roads
Ride up thru Colorado to Wyoming and back
Dakota Hills when the rally is not there

If you have not watched "Long Way Round" or "Long Way Down" get them on DVD amazing stuff. Long Way down is basically the dream trip you describe for yourself.

This is just the first episode of Long Way Down and is mostly about preparing for the trip. it was enough to suck me in and buy the entire box set.

Alaska is the first and realistic one I want to do.

Machu Pichu in Peru. I think Edelweiss is the one that does this tour.

Vietnam. I read about it in a cycle mag. That would be a good one to talk about over a beer with friends.

Any tour of the Alps. I really would like to do the Germany, Bavaria tour with Edelweiss. I've read a couple of write-ups on it.

There are more, but I think those are the ones on the top of my list.

vietnam is amazing. im here at the moment and purchased a scooter for 5 million (250usd). my longest trip so far has only been an hours drive but it was through mountains along the coast. absolutely beautiful and everything is crazy cheap. although the roads can be and the traffic can be a bit crazy. i would like to plan a trip from saigon to my hood.

dream trips for me would include africa/tibet on a dirtbike.

Cool. I've heard you can ride the old Ho Chi Minh trail also. I'll have to dig through some back issues to find the article. There's a bike rental place that I believe does tours or you can go it alone.

Tibet would be nice. Problem is you can't go there without a guide. That would be a really cool one to do.
